'O' Family Maternity Portraits {Kalama WA Photographer}
/The amazing wonderment of pregnancy is one of my favorite seasons to capture. It's so wild to me that a woman's body can grow an entire human!! What a miracle!! This session had me tearing up while shooting it and again while going through these images. Not only because it was such a serene and peaceful evening, but also because I get to be 'Auntie' to this little one when he or she makes their appearance next month!! My sister is one of the most kind, tender, loving and passionate people on the planet and she married the most genuine and loving person whom is such a blessing as a Brother to me! I adored that they allowed me to drag them out to the middle of a river and just let me do my thing with them! And since we were literally in the middle of a river, it only seemed appropriate to pay honor the salmon who had lost it's life and decayed to a skeleton right in our setting :)

/Beautiful brand new babies. They are by far my favorite subject to photograph. Here are a few images from this little man's newborn session. There were a boat load of pictures, but I'm holding back on oversharing his sweetness :) He is the son of a long time friend and it was a extra special blessing to photograph him and spend that special time with his parents.
Newborn Baby B {Newborn Photography, Kalama, Longview, Kelso, Vancouver WA Photographer}
/It's 2015. All to quickly it's another year, my children are that much older, my baby is almost 1. I could get all sappy here but I'll try not to...
I had a wonderful Christmas with my family, a fun and calm New Years and this week it was back to the studio and back to work for me. I had the most wonderful 1st session of the new year with this amazingly precious little dear. Little Ms. B was almost my birthday twin!!! Being a New Years Eve baby she and I were about 30 minutes away from sharing a birthday!! She had the best cheeks, and was such a love. She snuggled into my touch and in doing so, just melted my heart! I hope you enjoy this little peek at the 5 day old Birkley!!
D Family - A story {Longview, Kalama, Vancouver, Portland Photographer}
/One day, not long ago on a crisp, almost-winter day, the family took a little walk to find the perfect spot for a picnic and some snuggles. Along the way, Miss Emma smiled and laughed as she navigated the gravel and mud with her adoring parents. They arrived at the old bridge with just enough time to share their muffins and cocoa. Miss Emma loved her chocolate chip muffins and sipped her cocoa while snuggling her Mommy and Daddy.They cheers-ed their cocoa and picked up their cups, hoping to find more adventure. Mommy helped Miss Emma into her mittens and off they went!Miss Emma got to FLY with Mommy and Daddy by her side! They took a few moments for kisses and secrets and carried on until they found.......the most beautiful horse who was in need of a pat and a chat! Miss Emma helped her with her dinner and was then invited for a ride! What a wonderful day they had!

I read somewhere that I should include more words then pictures when I blog. But really, who really reads what I write? Doesn't everyone just scroll past the babble to see sweet faces? I even scroll past my babble to see cute faces!
So...on that note, I leave you with the adorableness that is one of my favorite families on this planet. I've known these little muffins since they were in their Mommies tummy. I've known Mommy since we were teenagers...and now I get to know this gorgeous family that just warms my heart!
Caleb Newborn Perfection {Vancouver, Longview, Kalama, SW Washington Newborn Photographer}
/A very special little man made his way into the studio last week. His Momma is best friends with my younger sister and I've known this sweet family for some time now. In fact, Caleb's big sister was a newborn in my studio just 3 years ago. When Caleb's Momma asked me to photograph him as a newborn, I was honored as he has a special and precious place in my heart. He was SUCH a love...just melting into my hands as I worked with him. And then he wanted to be awake and see what the fuss was all about :) He will probably never quite understand just how perfect he is. We spent some time with Caleb and then his big Sis joined us for the remainder of the session. Having turned 3 just days after Caleb's arrival, I didn't expect Kaytlin to be extremely excited about her brother, since toddlers can be a little unsure about new babies. But, I couldn't have been more wrong. She was extremely attentive, holding him, kissing him and smiling so big out of pride to have this sweet little Mister all to herself!
Caleb, his parents and family appreciate your prayers and positive thoughts as he will undergo surgery this coming January. Although the procedures he will endure have been perfected and will be completed by amazing surgeons, having a child go through the experience of surgery is never easy. Please pray for quick healing and a peaceful process for all involved!

/So this post is probably a little unfair because it is literally a fraction of the sweetness that was this family's session BUT I just have to share because they are too precious. I met this pair of twins when they were just weeks old, freshly home from the hospital and now look at them...getting so big, perfect in every way, full of wonderful insights to how they view this world from their newly turned 4 perspective. Their parents display happiness and contentment and the boys are a product of this love; it is plain to see.
So please enjoy this very brief peek at these little cuties :)
