Lauren - Senior Photography {Kalama, Longview, Vancouver Senior Photographer}

I met this adorable girl some years ago when I photographed a family wedding. She was sweet, kind and so easy to be around. Fast forward a few years to now, and I got to hang out with the same girl, however she's now this mature, smart, energetic, goal-oriented young adult and I was honestly blown away by her! She is graduating high school and college with an AA. Oh, and don't worry, the chick is only 18!! She plans to start her college journey in January (ya, I said that right, January!), has a plan for graduate school after her bachelors as well as for her future career. When the phrase 'she is going places' is used, this girl is the definition of.

When we set out for her session the skies were dark and it was one of those crazy weather days where it rains one hour, is sunny the next, raining the following hour...you know the deal (at least if you live in the Pacific North West you know what I'm talking about). We got through 15 minutes of one location before the sky just unloaded on us. We ran for the car and drove to one of the only two spots around that is outdoors and has coverage from the rain. Once we used that spot as much as we could, we retreated to the studio which is something I don't often do with seniors. To say she rocked her studio shots is an understatement. It made me remember why I love having a studio and working with studio lights. And then, true to Washington weather, the skies cleared and we were back outdoors, finishing our shoot on the beach in the sand!
