Lauren - Senior Photography {Kalama, Longview, Vancouver Senior Photographer}

I met this adorable girl some years ago when I photographed a family wedding. She was sweet, kind and so easy to be around. Fast forward a few years to now, and I got to hang out with the same girl, however she's now this mature, smart, energetic, goal-oriented young adult and I was honestly blown away by her! She is graduating high school and college with an AA. Oh, and don't worry, the chick is only 18!! She plans to start her college journey in January (ya, I said that right, January!), has a plan for graduate school after her bachelors as well as for her future career. When the phrase 'she is going places' is used, this girl is the definition of.

When we set out for her session the skies were dark and it was one of those crazy weather days where it rains one hour, is sunny the next, raining the following hour...you know the deal (at least if you live in the Pacific North West you know what I'm talking about). We got through 15 minutes of one location before the sky just unloaded on us. We ran for the car and drove to one of the only two spots around that is outdoors and has coverage from the rain. Once we used that spot as much as we could, we retreated to the studio which is something I don't often do with seniors. To say she rocked her studio shots is an understatement. It made me remember why I love having a studio and working with studio lights. And then, true to Washington weather, the skies cleared and we were back outdoors, finishing our shoot on the beach in the sand!

I had an amazing time photographing a gorgeous girl and I HOPE she enjoyed it as well! Here are just a few of the images from this amazing session.

Hailey's Senior Session {Portland, Vancouver, Kalama Senior Photography}

Senior girls are so much fun to work with and Hailey was so exception. I've known this sweet girl for several years now and it was such an honor to be chosen to photograph her!! We jumped around to several different locations but my favorite shots came from Hailey's favorite hobby. She loves to read and when I asked her to bring a load full of her favorite books, even though she thought I was sort of nuts, she came through with a few of her favorites. Those images turned out perfectly!!

Congrats on your Senior Year Hailey!!!!

Dalton Senior Photography {Longview, Kelso, Kalama, Vancouver Photographer}

A sunny, warm evening, a bright, friendly senior who plays guitar and ukelele and spends the majority of the session playing perfect renditions of Jason Mraz and Jack Johnson songs. This is perfection and this was how my evening was last week photographing Dalton. I have a huge soft spot for acoustic music, as obviously does Dalton. I literally could have listened to him play the entire time. I had to remind myself to do a few shots here and there of him without his favorite instrument. And now, after spending a few hours with him, I seriously want to learn to play the ukelele!

Thank you for letting me photograph you Dalton! Congratulations on your graduation :)

Sophia Senior Year {Longview, Kelso, Kalama Senior Photography}

This senior season has been so very fun for me and I've had the honor of photographing some amazing young people. This girl is no exception. Her humble, sweet demeanor and serious gorgeous smile was SO fun to be around! I was thoroughly interested when she brought her Fling (am I spelling that correctly Sophia?) outfit! What a neat tradition that her high school has! We continued on with her cheer outfit (I always wish I could have done cheerleading. I was neither cool enough nor coordinated enough. My lack of participation was probably more due to the later though I'm guessing). Anyway, back to Sophia...She was also such a trooper when I took her down to the beach in her prom dress when it was breezy and way cold! I could literally have photographed her all evening.

Congrats on your upcoming graduation Sophia! I'm so excited for you and your future!!

Senior Photography {Longview, Kelso, Kalama, Vancouver Wa Photographer}

I met with Samantha and her mother recently for Samantha's senior session. You will see for yourself but this girl is gorgeous! She couldn't take a bad picture. The only problem that creates for me is that I have WAY too many amazing images that I just can't part with. This is just a sampling of her session...literally a fraction of the finished images! She was so much fun to work with, going with all the weird ideas I had, saying yes to whatever strange thing I asked of her. The final product is worth it...I am so super stoked with how these turned out.

Congrats on your senior year Samantha! You are such a wonderful young woman! Good luck next year in college!

Senior Year {Cathlamet Senior}

I met this seriously beautiful High School senior several months ago. This lively, bright and happy young woman was such a joy to work with. She, her Mom and I hung out and laughed our way through her session. Fast forward to just a couple weeks ago, we finished up the 2nd half of her session and continued to laugh through the rest of our time together. The images below are from just our 2nd session together; there were WAY too many good ones. I could photograph this girl all day long.

Congrats on your senior year Chelsea! You are beautiful inside and and out and I'm thrilled you chose me to photograph this precious time of your life!!
