Jade's 4 Year Session {Portland, Vancouver, Longview, Kelso, Kalama Child Photographer}

Three and a half years ago I met Jen, her husband Aaron and their only daughter at the time, Jade. Jade was 6 months old and not only did I fall in love with her sweet little face, but I became friends with her parents. Jen is one of the most organized, thoughtful, sincere, attentive mothers I've had the pleasure of knowing. She always has a smile on her face, is positive through each day and is an inspiration to me as a Mom and a business woman. Aaron is cool too, don't get me wrong, but I can gush more appropriately about Jen :)

Since meeting this family they have added twins girls to the mix!! With 3 young little ladies and running a business, this family is busy as you can imagine. When they came to visit for Jade's 4 year session we had such a great time giving her all our attention and love :) With twin toddler sisters around, I'm sure that being the center of attention for an hour is a rare experience for Jade. Luckily, both her parents are used to me demanding they smile and snuggle for a few shots and Jade loved it!! This little girl is incredibly darling, so sweet with lots of expression and giggles! Thank You for letting me photograph your family...you are all so very special to me!

I saved my favorite for last. Isn't she the most angelic little girl you've ever seen? She is so calm and sweet here. I love her to pieces  :)

Olive 2 Years {Portland, Vancouver, Kalama, Longview Photographer}

I have such an amazing family. I won't say 'the most amazing' because I know you have an amazing family too, but the people who I have gained when I married are pretty awesome. One of my cousins has such beautiful children and although they live an hour away, they always let me photograph their children. Like, I'm talking, they have brought me both their kids since they were just days old. That is a lot of faith for them to put in me because I know traveling with young children is anything but easy. I seriously feel honored and blessed when I'm chosen to be a photographer for families as their children grow and it just makes me feel extra special when these families choose to drive past a boat-load of other talented photographers to have ME photograph these precious kiddos. Anyway, my cousin has made the trip to see me SO many times and I enjoy the time with her family very much. I love her happy presence, her laid back but firm parenting style and the fact that she shows up saying 'I did my makeup because I knew you were going to force me into a few shots today' :) (she knows me so well). She really is a wonderful friend whom I love dearly. And bonus: her kids are to-die-for-cute.

So here is her darling daughter. Little Miss Olive who steals my heart and my love :)

Sisters - Family, Baby Photography {Kalama, Longview, Kelso, Vancouver Photographer}

Sweet little darlings. That is the only way to describe these little ones. I've been photographing this family for several years now and seeing these gorgeous girls together is so amazing...I just adore sisters and the beauty of that relationship. Watching this family grow has been so much fun and the most recent session with them was so exception. When Becca told me about the outfits she was bringing for the girls I knew right where I wanted to photograph them! They are just beautiful together! Enjoy!!

Maxwell Newborn {Newborn Photography}

 I have had a wave of baby boys in the studio recently. Many of them have been quite chubby but in this slew of big boys, came this little peanut :) Well, really, he is quite a average size but after handling a few 10 pounders, Maxwell felt like such a tiny guy!! He had such great hair, big feet and the sweetest little personality. And to make it even more fun, his Mom and I have known each other since 6th grade!! They drove over 2 hours with a brand new baby and a 2 year old for their session...so yes, this was a very special newborn for me!! World, meet Mr. Maxwell...I'm in love :)

So after working with Maxwell, his big bro came and joined the session. Most 2 year olds are a little less then enthusiastic to be in front of the camera...which is basically how Gavin felt at first. BUT as Mom and Dad were packing up to leave, this little guy literally asked for me to photograph him. I mean, really, what two year old ASKS to have his picture taken?! Normally toddlers are running the other way from me with my camera. Of course I obliged his request. I could just pinch him he is so precious!

Senior Year {Cathlamet Senior}

I met this seriously beautiful High School senior several months ago. This lively, bright and happy young woman was such a joy to work with. She, her Mom and I hung out and laughed our way through her session. Fast forward to just a couple weeks ago, we finished up the 2nd half of her session and continued to laugh through the rest of our time together. The images below are from just our 2nd session together; there were WAY too many good ones. I could photograph this girl all day long.

Congrats on your senior year Chelsea! You are beautiful inside and and out and I'm thrilled you chose me to photograph this precious time of your life!!

Newborn {Longview, Kalama, Vancouver, Portland Photographer}

I met the beautiful family who belongs to this little man earlier this year. They had traveled almost an hour to have me photograph big sis and I had the best time chatting with Momma and Grandma:) I was thrilled when they chose me to photograph their baby #2 especially since I know that traveling any distance with a brand new baby isn't always the easiest. I always enjoy photographing newborn babies; there really isn't anything quite as precious. This little man, however was a extra special experience for me. This little man was born in his own perfect way, with the unique challenge of a cleft palate. This healthy little man was as absolutely precious as I could have imagined.

His Mother is an incredible person...so well educated about her son's needs, so confident in the situation and so in love with her perfect son. I was so taken by her strength, her pride and overwhelming love for her child. After cuddling with Wyatt during his session and memorizing his perfect features I couldn't help but think about how much of a blessing he is. How, with the challenges of life we discover our deepest loves and inner strength. This little man has already strengthened the heart and soul of his parents and family with just his presence. And during my short 2 hours with him, he touched and renewed a love within me for the miracle and beauty of this blessed life we live.

Fall Beauty {Vancouver WA, Longview WA, Kalama WA Photographer}

Sigh...for those of you residing along with me in the Pacific North West, you know what I'm talking about when I say we have had exception weather this past week. LIke, unseasonably beautiful, multiple days of sunshine...we are blessed for sure. I, like most photographers, enjoy this time of year immensely for the natural gorgeousness there is to work with. The crispness in the air, warm colored sunsets, bright trees...there really isn't anything better. I've taken as much advantage of this weather as possible photographing so many families recently. And yes, I waddle through most of my sessions with my ever growing baby belly, but I am thoroughly enjoying every moment. Just 12 short weeks until my little bundle arrives so for now I'm working as hard as possible to get these images perfected and back to my clients, whom I am so grateful for.

Just a few peeks of my late couple weeks for you all.

B Wedding

When I first met Rachel I had such a great feeling about the sweet and thoughtful person she is. After spending time with her chatting about her wedding, photographing she and Todd during their engagement session and then spending her entire wedding day with her, her thoughtfulness was incredibly obvious! Every last detail of her day was planned perfectly and so beautifully! Her day was nothing short of perfect and it was such a blessing to be part of it!!!

Congrats Todd and Rachel! Many blessings to you in your new marriage together!

Lee Wedding May 2013

I had this lovely friend in high school, Marisa, who I looked up to and admired for her always-loving, kind hearted and compassionate view on life. Jesus's love was evident in her demeanor then and as I suspected, nothing has changed since that time. I connected again with Marisa as she was planning her wedding to her soul mate Joel, also a friend of mine from high school. It is such a blessing to watch two people who love each other so purely as they enter in to a commitment of marriage. Being part of this special day was nothing short of amazing for me. I loved being involved and watching the day unfold. A huge Thank You so my much needed assistant Rashelle Odem who was incredibly valuable to me that day!

Congrats Marisa and Joel!! May you have a long, loving, laughter-filled life together!
God Bless!
