Senior Photography {Longview, Kelso, Kalama, Vancouver Wa Photographer}

I met with Samantha and her mother recently for Samantha's senior session. You will see for yourself but this girl is gorgeous! She couldn't take a bad picture. The only problem that creates for me is that I have WAY too many amazing images that I just can't part with. This is just a sampling of her session...literally a fraction of the finished images! She was so much fun to work with, going with all the weird ideas I had, saying yes to whatever strange thing I asked of her. The final product is worth it...I am so super stoked with how these turned out.

Congrats on your senior year Samantha! You are such a wonderful young woman! Good luck next year in college!

Hospital Mini Session {Newborn Photography}

Brand new babies...sigh...there really isn't anything more precious! Well, actually the only thing better would be a brand new niece, which is exactly what I got this past Friday!!

One of my favorite sessions are those in the hospital, when baby is brand new and a new family has been created. Those first days together where parents are getting to know their tiny person, learning how to soothe, and care for this precious little one. There is nothing quite like those moments.
My Sister-in-Law invited me to come meet my niece this weekend and bring my camera to capture their first morning together as a family of 3. I've done these 'Hospital Mini Sessions' for other families this past year and was honored to take these photos for my own family. Of course, I'm madly in love with this brand new face and SO incredibly proud of my sister who brought this lovely girl into the world. Although she had been a Mommy for only hours, she was so in tune with her daughter, so relaxed and content at being a mother. This was such a beautiful thing to witness. I spent about 20 minutes photographing them, so as to not disturb their feeding schedule and routine at the hospital but in that short time, I was able to capture such a sweet look into the newness of their family.

If you are interested in a hospital session for your new baby, feel free to contact me. These sessions are about 20 minutes in length and are a great way to eternalize the first day or two of your babies life :) A Hospital Session is 'scheduled' based on your due date, however, as we all know, babies are unpredictable and we will adjust your session based on when baby arrives to make it happen while you are enjoying that new baby in the hospital.

Thanks for reading!

Be Blessed!

B Wedding

When I first met Rachel I had such a great feeling about the sweet and thoughtful person she is. After spending time with her chatting about her wedding, photographing she and Todd during their engagement session and then spending her entire wedding day with her, her thoughtfulness was incredibly obvious! Every last detail of her day was planned perfectly and so beautifully! Her day was nothing short of perfect and it was such a blessing to be part of it!!!

Congrats Todd and Rachel! Many blessings to you in your new marriage together!

My Little

As a follow up to my last blog post, I also took some time to photograph my youngest daughter, Edyn, to commemorate her 3rd year. This little one has the most beautiful red hair, and a matching personality. I fully admit I'm a biased mother, but this child is incredibly special and oh-so precious. I could not be more blessed to be her Mommy! She is dainty, sassy, opinionated, independent, sensitive, compassionate and loves to play, laugh and snuggle. My little 'Sis' is my dear baby and seeing how much she has grown recently is exciting, but also heartbreaking to know that she is becoming her own person.

Happy 3 Year Sis!!

A Little Something Personal

I took a moment and did something really important to me.

I took pictures of my own child! Gasp! Yes, I did it. Maybe it's more surprising for you to hear that this is a big deal for me, but it is. Adylyn turned 5 (seriously my first baby girl is 5 and I can hardly believe it!) 4 months ago and I haven't done her 5 year pictures yet! I hear all the time from clients that they put off scheduling pictures and aren't as 'on top of it' as they wish when it comes to portraits. Truth is, I'm right there with them. So this past weekend when I stopped by my parents and saw my Dad pruning his pear blossom tree, I stuck around to see just how much he was going to hack off of that tree. And I got lucky :) He decided the tree was growing in a direction that he wouldn't ever pick fruit from; so he chopped a huge chunk of it down.

 And my brain says 'Jackpot!'

So I wrestled as much of it as I could (with the help of Dad) into my car, and yes it made a HUGE mess. Afterwards we went shopping for a dress and shoes to compliment the trees and convinced my darling girl to come 'play,' And there you have it. I accomplished something important in photographing my eldest daughter.

Remembering the sweetest of our children. Their innocence. This is priceless.

McTimmonds Wedding

I met Lindsey almost a year ago when we sat down to talk about her upcoming wedding. This bubbly, constantly smiley bride-to-be instantly had me excited for her event as she talked about her upcoming special day. When you meet people who are genuinely happy and excited about their life, the feeling is a bit contagious. Through her planning process we chatted frequently but when we did their engagement pictures and I  was able to meet Tyson, I really connected myself to this wedding. What a fun, loving couple...and what an honor to be the one capturing it for them!

Congrats Tyson and Lindsey! Your day was so special and I am so happy that you chose me to be a part of it!
Much love to you both in your new life together!!

Mr. C {Newborn}

 This little darling boy made his way into this world recently. I was blessed to be able to spend time with he and his parents to capture his tininess :)

Mr. C has an Owl themed bedroom so it was fitting that we included this sweet hat. These portraits will be a great addition to his room :)

I am excited to continue to photograph this sweet boy through the rest of his first year! Thank you for choosing me as your photographer!
