My Little

As a follow up to my last blog post, I also took some time to photograph my youngest daughter, Edyn, to commemorate her 3rd year. This little one has the most beautiful red hair, and a matching personality. I fully admit I'm a biased mother, but this child is incredibly special and oh-so precious. I could not be more blessed to be her Mommy! She is dainty, sassy, opinionated, independent, sensitive, compassionate and loves to play, laugh and snuggle. My little 'Sis' is my dear baby and seeing how much she has grown recently is exciting, but also heartbreaking to know that she is becoming her own person.

Happy 3 Year Sis!!

A Little Something Personal

I took a moment and did something really important to me.

I took pictures of my own child! Gasp! Yes, I did it. Maybe it's more surprising for you to hear that this is a big deal for me, but it is. Adylyn turned 5 (seriously my first baby girl is 5 and I can hardly believe it!) 4 months ago and I haven't done her 5 year pictures yet! I hear all the time from clients that they put off scheduling pictures and aren't as 'on top of it' as they wish when it comes to portraits. Truth is, I'm right there with them. So this past weekend when I stopped by my parents and saw my Dad pruning his pear blossom tree, I stuck around to see just how much he was going to hack off of that tree. And I got lucky :) He decided the tree was growing in a direction that he wouldn't ever pick fruit from; so he chopped a huge chunk of it down.

 And my brain says 'Jackpot!'

So I wrestled as much of it as I could (with the help of Dad) into my car, and yes it made a HUGE mess. Afterwards we went shopping for a dress and shoes to compliment the trees and convinced my darling girl to come 'play,' And there you have it. I accomplished something important in photographing my eldest daughter.

Remembering the sweetest of our children. Their innocence. This is priceless.

Dean Engagement {Weddings & Engagement}

I met these two a little while ago when we sat down to chat about their upcoming wedding. Now, after hanging out with them during their Engagement Session, I'm so excited for their wedding. These two truly love one another which makes my job so much fun! And seriously...talk about the 'All American' couple...aren't they both just gorgeous!?

Congrats on your engagement!! I'm so looking forward to your wedding!!

McTimmonds Wedding

I met Lindsey almost a year ago when we sat down to talk about her upcoming wedding. This bubbly, constantly smiley bride-to-be instantly had me excited for her event as she talked about her upcoming special day. When you meet people who are genuinely happy and excited about their life, the feeling is a bit contagious. Through her planning process we chatted frequently but when we did their engagement pictures and I  was able to meet Tyson, I really connected myself to this wedding. What a fun, loving couple...and what an honor to be the one capturing it for them!

Congrats Tyson and Lindsey! Your day was so special and I am so happy that you chose me to be a part of it!
Much love to you both in your new life together!!
-Jenn

Mr. C {Newborn}

 This little darling boy made his way into this world recently. I was blessed to be able to spend time with he and his parents to capture his tininess :)

Mr. C has an Owl themed bedroom so it was fitting that we included this sweet hat. These portraits will be a great addition to his room :)

I am excited to continue to photograph this sweet boy through the rest of his first year! Thank you for choosing me as your photographer!
